TowerTalk for SchoolsFor flight schools & instructors
RT training for flight schools: practice between lessons, a record you can check.
Students practise radio calls with an AI controller, graded against CAP 413. You see what they said, where they are weak, and a training record an examiner can verify.
What a school gets
What the school and instructor accounts do today.
Free school and instructor accounts
Create a school workspace, add instructors and invite students. The software costs nothing; you pay only for the seats you choose to give.
Student seats
A student on one of your seats has full access, live lesson rooms included: £11.99 per student a month, or £10.99 for every seat once you have 10 or more. Add a seat any time; remove one at the end of the month.
Progress you can see
Each student's graded calls, scores and weak areas, per student and across the school, so the next lesson starts from what they actually said.
Instructor tools
Comment on a student's work, set them a scenario to practise, keep class notes, and add your own teaching material as practice content.
Live lesson rooms
Run a shared frequency with a student and take the controller's seat yourself.
A training record with verification
A PDF of a student's exercises, mock exams, Readiness Checks and lessons with an instructor. Each carries a random verification code: an examiner or school can check online that the record is genuine and unedited.
SRG1171 Section 4
Track each student's coverage of the syllabus and, as the person responsible for their training, sign Section 4 of the CAA's SRG1171 in TowerTalk; it is filed to the student's documents.
Links for your syllabus
Permanent links to each exercise and check, with a CSV of the lot, to put in a printed syllabus or your school's own system, and a view of which students arrived through them.

Questions schools ask
What does TowerTalk cost a flight school?
The software is free: a school workspace and instructor accounts cost nothing. You pay only for the students you give full access to — monthly seats at £11.99 per student, or £10.99 for every seat once you have 10 or more, billed on the 1st. Multi-site arrangements are quoted on request.
Does every student need a seat?
No. A student can hold a plan of their own or use the free tier, and still join your school. A seat is how you give a student full access at the school's cost.
How are live lessons charged?
Live lesson time with a student who has no plan, pass or seat of their own is billed to the instructor monthly; whether the instructor recovers it from the student is between them. Each student's first 60 minutes with any instructor are free, once per account. After that: up to 30 min £2.50 · to 1 hr £4.99 · to 1 hr 30 £7.49 · to 2 hrs £9.99 · each further 30 min £2.50.
What is the reward month?
When a student's paid lesson time reaches 6 half-hours within 30 days, the student is given 30 days of full access, once per account.
Can an examiner check a TowerTalk training record?
Yes. Every training record PDF carries a verification code and the address to check it. The check confirms the student's name, the school, the dates covered and when the record was generated, and whether the PDF matches what TowerTalk issued. It shows no scores.
Is TowerTalk approved by the CAA?
No. TowerTalk is a training aid. It is not approved by the CAA, it is not the FRTOL practical test, and it does not replace instruction or an examiner's assessment. Practice is graded against CAP 413.
