TowerTalkAviation radio training
Get confident on the aviation radio
Radio telephony is the part of flying most student pilots dread. TowerTalk turns it into structured, repeatable practice — learn the phraseology, rehearse it live with an AI controller, and track your progress from your first aerodrome call to a full cross-country.
Learn it in plain English
Call formats, readbacks, position and circuit calls, services, QNH/squawk and emergencies — built up from the basics.
Practise it live
Make real calls to an AI controller at real UK airfields and hear how a station responds.
Graded feedback
Every transmission scored against CAP 413, with specific notes so you know exactly what to fix.
Track your progress
See your weak areas and watch them improve session by session — no fabricated stats, just your real practice.

Frequently asked
Who is this for?
UK student pilots and qualified pilots who want to stay sharp, plus instructors and schools. Beginners start with the basics; experienced pilots jump to scenarios and mock exams.
Which standard does it follow?
UK CAP 413 by default. ICAO and US/FAA phraseology are also available — switch the standard and the content, AI controller and grading follow it.
Is it a substitute for instruction?
No. TowerTalk is a training and simulation aid designed to support your radio practice — it does not replace official instruction or examiner assessment.
Is there a free version?
Yes — you can learn and make practice calls for free, with no card required, then upgrade for unlimited graded practice.
